The Role
We are seeking an experienced **Transportation Engineering Manager** to lead the planning, design, analysis, technical delivery, and optimization of transportation infrastructure and mobility projects.
The successful candidate will provide technical and managerial leadership across highways, roads, intersections, traffic systems, public transport infrastructure, mobility programs, and related transportation developments. The role requires strong engineering judgment, project-management expertise, stakeholder coordination, and a focus on safety, capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and long-term network performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement transportation engineering strategies, standards, procedures, and technical guidelines.
* Lead transportation engineering activities from feasibility and concept development through design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
* Manage multidisciplinary transportation engineering teams across multiple projects.
* Lead planning and design of roads, highways, intersections, corridors, and transportation networks.
* Conduct transportation planning, traffic analysis, capacity assessments, and network evaluations.
* Review traffic demand, travel patterns, trip generation, and transportation forecasts.
* Develop and review traffic models and transportation analysis methodologies.
* Assess roadway capacity, level of service, congestion, accessibility, and network performance.
* Lead intersection analysis, junction design, signalization, and traffic-control assessments.
* Review geometric design, alignment, access, road safety, signage, markings, and traffic-management requirements.
* Coordinate transportation requirements with land-use planning, urban development, utilities, drainage, and public-realm projects.
* Evaluate multimodal transportation systems including public transport, walking, cycling, private vehicles, and emerging mobility services.
* Support transit-oriented development and integrated mobility planning.
* Assess parking, access, circulation, loading, and transportation demand-management requirements.
* Develop transportation impact assessments and technical reports.
* Review traffic-management plans for construction and major events.
* Coordinate temporary traffic arrangements and construction-stage transportation requirements.

* Review engineering drawings, calculations, models, specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
* Lead feasibility studies, options assessments, technical due diligence, and route evaluations.
* Evaluate alternative transportation solutions based on safety, capacity, cost, constructability, sustainability, and lifecycle performance.
* Lead value-engineering and design-optimization initiatives.
* Review consultant and contractor submissions, calculations, method statements, and proposed design changes.
* Provide technical support during construction and resolve transportation-related engineering issues.
* Manage technical queries, requests for information, design changes, and engineering clarifications.
* Coordinate testing, commissioning, traffic-system activation, and infrastructure handover.
* Support intelligent transportation systems and smart mobility initiatives.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have strong experience in **transportation engineering, traffic engineering, highway engineering, transportation planning, infrastructure development, or mobility engineering**, preferably within major infrastructure, urban development, transport, or international engineering projects.
The candidate should demonstrate:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Significant professional experience in transportation engineering and infrastructure delivery.
* Strong knowledge of traffic engineering, transportation planning, highway design, intersections, and network analysis.
* Experience with traffic modelling, transportation forecasting, and capacity analysis.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex projects.
* Strong understanding of road safety, traffic management, geometric design, and transportation standards.
* Experience with public transport, active mobility, multimodal planning, or intelligent transportation systems is highly desirable.
* Experience reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, models, specifications, and technical reports.
