HIRING! Position: Lead Planning This position is responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates, project planning schedules, resource forecasts, and execution strategies for insulation, painting, and scaffolding works in oil & gas facilities. The role requires strong technical understanding, hands-on field exposure. Key Responsibilities A. Estimation & Costing (IPS Scope) Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for insulation, painting, and scaffolding work packages. Review client drawings, specifications, and scope documents to prepare accurate material and manpower estimates. Develop pricing structures for materials, consumables, equipment, scaffolding systems, and manpower based on GCC market standards. Conduct site assessments to validate quantities and understand access constraints. Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors to obtain updated pricing and technical compliance. B. Planning & Scheduling Prepare comprehensive project schedules (Level 2–4) using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software. Develop detailed resource loading plans, including manpower histograms, equipment schedules, and scaffold material planning. Coordinate with construction teams to update progress, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions. Track daily/weekly/monthly progress and provide productivity analysis for IPS works. Prepare shutdown/turnaround execution plans for high-volume IPS activities. Understanding of drawings (P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings). Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). 7 to 10 years of experience in planning and estimation for insulation, painting, and scaffolding in the oil & gas sector. GCC experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost estimation tools. Familiarity with international codes: ASTM, ISO, SSPC, NACE, BS EN, API. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and numerical ability. Excellent understanding of IPS field execution practices. Strong communication skills for client and internal interactions.
