Lead System Integration Robotics Engineer - Logistic Division

hybrid • JPN • lead • Не указана
Telexistence develops remote controlled robots with artificial intelligence, with the mission to change robots, change the structure, and change the world. Gathered by high expertise professionals from all over the world, the engineering team consistently develops robotic hardware, software and AI technology in-house. TX aims to expand the scope of robotics activities beyond the factory floor and transform the fundamental nature of labor society. This role focuses on automation of custom made manipulators, and integrating other 3rd parties robots, aiming to automate logistics  operations without human intervention at a high success rate.  The focus will be in maintaining, improving and designing components of a complex automation system, that includes manipulators, mobile robots, cloud components and human interfaces; deployed in real world logistic warehouses  In addition, this role also focuses on implementing clean and scalable software architecture, using C++ and ROS2. Unlike other positions in the automation team, system integration engineers would be required to have broad knowledge across control, perception and software engineering, and its responsibility will be to “glue” components together, while also having some basic knowledge to optimize and improve performance of each other. Additionally, we would expect them to develop unique algorithms that combine both domain knowledge from motion and perception areas. Thus, we appreciate personnel interested in both motion and perception areas, as well as in software engineering. We strongly believe that our autonomous solution provides a great impact to the current and future market , and look forward to having more people agreeing and joining our team. **Responsibilities** * Contribute to the development of an automation system using custom hardware, by developing sophisticated software architecture and algorithms for perception and motion control systems. * Work with other automation engineers and achieve priorities and goals set by VPs. * Break up vague goals into concrete steps and manage your own timeline to achieve company goals. * Accurately analyze the problem and data, evaluate and deploy the system to the product with safety and stability taken into account, within given timelines. * Collect data, analyze results, and continuously improve algorithms quantitatively. **Qualifications** * 5+ years of experience in modern C++ (C++14 or above) and python, along with clean software architecting skills. * 5+ years of experience in robotics field, ROS (1 and/or  2), perception and control algorithms. * 2+ years of experience with deploying and maintaining  robots in the real world. * Experience in network communication (UDP, TCP, DDS). * Experience in implementing hardware and software combined systems, with or without ROS. * Strong passion of releasing stable and reliable technology to the market. * Quick and accurate problem solving skills. * Careful issue monitoring / debugging skills. **Preferred** * Motion control system : writing and tuning controllers, controlling robotic manipulators, using inverse kinematics, and motion planning, with existing libraries and / or hand-crafted algorithms. * Perception system : using RGB-D sensors, combined with computer vision and/or AI/ML, with existing libraries and / or hand-crafted algorithms. * Low level HW communication (Open Can), embedded HW. * Ability to manage a team of subject matter experts and set technical direction. * Proven success in designing or testing game-changing products in the robotics or similar industry.
