Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) of Student Information Systems within the Enterprise Applications portfolio, the Senior Business Solutions Analyst leads complex business requirements analysis, business process re-engineering and solution design. The Senior Business Solutions Analyst works collaboratively with members of the Enterprise Applications team, college/faculty staff, business services teams (including Chief Transformation Office, Office of the Registrar, Shared Services, Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies, Online & Continuing Professional Education, Student Success Centre) in the discovery of institutional solutions, definition of enhancements, process & solution design, training & procedure development, solution testing, solution issue resolution and develops communications of solution changes to the University community. Enterprise Applications is responsible for the delivery, support and maintenance of institutional core applications (including but not limited to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions/Human Capital Management/Financials, Tribal SITS Vision) and integration services with extended solutions (such as Slate, PayMyTuition, Orbis, Symplicity, Blackbaud and Infosilem). The Senior Business Solutions Analyst will liaise with internal teams, external vendors, college/faculty staff and business service staff to provide application support services, execute on operational service/change requests and participate in the delivery of projects that support the strategic direction and institutional objectives. The incumbent will actively participate in production operations, solution enhancements, application upgrades and new development projects relating within the responsibility Enterprise Applications. **Responsibilities** * Consults with central service units to gather, capture and validate complex business requirements using advanced use cases * Analyzes application capabilities for enhancements, upgrades and new development projects * Provides functional guidance to technical analysts and developers regarding reports, processes, interfaces, conversions, and enhancement developments * Develops efficient future-state solutions and delivers post-implementation support following the completion of enhancements, upgrades and new projects * Documents business process changes and application enhancements in consultation with Enterprise Applications to ensure adherence to established standards and overall quality * Defines test scenarios, prepares test data, tracks and addresses deviations and secures user sign-off * Coordinates processes and enhancements with service providers, focusing on system, regression, and validation testing * Resolves complex student administration issues to maintain data integrity and support efficient system operations * Partners with service providers to ensure timely resolution of operational problems and completion of testing * Delivers expert day-to-day advice and support to client areas on PeopleSoft and associated student administration applications **Qualifications** * Post-secondary degree in business administration, computer science or an acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience * Qualifications or credentials in project management or business analysis preferred * Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience conducting complex business process reviews, workflow administration and enterprise application implementations or enhancements * At least 5 years of experience supporting Student Information Systems (SIS) and student lifecycles, with direct background in admissions, student records, student financials or academic advisement * In-depth working knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including its relational database structure, security setup, core functionality and query development * Hands-on experience with SQL query development, enterprise application testing frameworks, report building and productivity software (Google Suite/MS Office, Adobe Acrobat) * Proven track record integrating PeopleSoft with other higher education platforms like Slate, Canvas, Ad Astra, Symplicity, Modern Campus or Orbis * Demonstrated competency using project management and process improvement methodologies alongside a systematic, analytical approach to problem-solving * Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and group facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts across functional teams * Strong initiative, organizational awareness and leadership capabilities, with a collaborative approach to change management and team environments **Application Instructions** Click "Apply Now" to submit your resume and cover letter. _This position is subject to all applicable terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the Governors of the University of Alberta and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA). __This position offers a_ _comprehensive benefits package_ _. _**About Us** _The University of Alberta, its buildings, labs and research stations are primarily located on the territory of Néhiyaw (Cree), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Nakoda (Stoney), Dene, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and Anishinaabe (Ojibway/Saulteaux), lands that are now known as part of Treaties 6, 7 and 8 and homeland of the Métis.
