The platform supports large scale agent interactions, operational controls, observability, and secure communication patterns to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance. ## Team Medium team (10-20 people) You will work within a collaborative team of platform engineers, backend developers, cloud architects, security specialists, and AI platform engineers. The team follows modern engineering practices with a strong focus on scalability, security, automation, and operational excellence. ## Position overview We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong experience in cloud native platforms, distributed systems, and agent based architectures. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate secure and scalable agent communication infrastructure, helping to build enterprise grade routing, discovery, and governance capabilities for multi agent environments. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain agent communication and routing services using AWS AgentCore Gateway and Python - Design and implement agent discovery, registration, routing, and enforcement mechanisms - Build scalable agent to agent communication workflows based on A2A protocol standards - Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0 and SigV4 - Develop and maintain gateway deployment topologies for single tenant and multi tenant environments - Collaborate with platform and security teams to implement governance and access control requirements - Design operational controls including routing policies, traffic management, and enforcement mechanisms - Perform performance testing, load analysis, and capacity planning for gateway workloads - Conduct security assessments and implement best practices for agent communication channels - Support production environments through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives - Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and engineering standards ## Requirements - 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, backend engineering, or a related field - Hands on production experience with an agent to agent or agent to tool gateway platform, including AWS AgentCore Gateway or comparable routing and discovery solutions such as MCP gateways, agent mesh platforms, or agent proxy architectures - Experience implementing and operating production multi agent systems with agent to agent communication capabilities - Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and identity based routing for machine to machine or agent to agent traffic - Experience building cloud native API platforms and distributed systems - Strong Python development experience for backend services and platform integrations - Understanding of A2A protocol concepts, including agent discovery, invocation lifecycle management, and trust models - Experience designing and operating secure, scalable, and highly available platform services - Knowledge of performance optimization, reliability engineering, and operational best practices - Strong communication and collaboration skills ## Nice to have - Hands on experience with AWS AgentCore Gateway A2A enforcement models - Experience with AWS AgentCore Runtime multi agent invocation patterns - Experience defining enterprise standards and governance frameworks for agent to agent communication - Knowledge of LangGraph or CrewAI multi agent orchestration frameworks - Experience with platform observability, monitoring, and operational analytics - Understanding of AI platform governance, security controls, and compliance requirements ## FAQ for Candidates Work on global projects, grow your career in a supportive, flexible, and innovative tech environment.
