**Business Insights Analyst** Birchwood, Warrington (hybrid, 3 days a week on site) | Permanent | £45,000 A regulated financial services business in the debt advice space is looking for an analyst who wants to explain _why_ things are happening, not just report what has happened. This is an insight-led role, not a dashboard-maintenance one. You’ll take real business questions, such as why customers drop out of the application journey, stop making payments or end their plans. You’ll work out what analysis is needed and follow the data to a clear answer. You’ll cover everything from marketing and lead quality through to conversion, operational performance and retention. You’ll also support A/B testing and Consumer Duty monitoring. The aim is recommendations the business can act on, with a clear view of how to measure whether they worked. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with Directors and Department Managers. You’ll be presenting findings to them regularly, so confidence in challenging assumptions with evidence matters as much as the analysis itself. **What they’re looking for:** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using customer, operational or commercial data to identify trends and underlying drivers * Advanced Excel * The ability to take a business question, decide what analysis is needed and work independently to a clear conclusion * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to present complex findings clearly to senior stakeholders * Confidence to challenge assumptions and back up your view with evidence * Excellent written and verbal communication, with good prioritisation across multiple pieces of analysis * Advantageous: SQL, Power BI (or similar), financial services experience, and knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, CRM systems and AI If you’d rather spend your time finding out why something is happening than building another report, this one’s worth a conversation.
