**About The Company** ARM is a specialist talent acquisition and management consultancy, supporting organisations with technical recruitment and resource solutions. Its specialist divisions work across a broad range of technical sectors and connect skilled professionals with opportunities that match their experience and career goals. ARM is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial consultancy for a high-profile finance data programme. The assignment brings together finance, risk, data and technology stakeholders to improve the quality, reliability and usability of important financial information. **About The Role** ARM is seeking a Data Analyst with strong SQL capability and a solid understanding of financial services data. In this role, you will investigate complex datasets, analyse and reconcile information across multiple systems, and help teams understand and address data quality issues. You will contribute to defining business rules, data mappings and acceptance criteria, while supporting testing, validation and release activities throughout the programme. This opportunity suits an analytical, methodical professional who enjoys turning detailed data investigations into clear findings and practical recommendations. You will work closely with both business and technical colleagues, communicating results in a way that supports informed decisions. The role offers exposure to a high-profile finance data initiative and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the accuracy and consistency of data used across the organisation. **Qualifications** The successful candidate will bring practical experience working with financial services data and confidence using SQL to investigate and manipulate large datasets. You should be comfortable writing queries that use joins, aggregations and common table expressions, and be able to consider query performance when working with substantial volumes of information. Experience with data reconciliation and resolving data quality issues is important, as is the ability to follow findings through to a clear outcome. You will also demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a structured approach to analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will need to explain complex findings to stakeholders with different levels of technical knowledge. Experience with a business intelligence platform such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker would be beneficial. Familiarity with BigQuery, data governance practices or Python would also be advantageous, but is not essential. **Responsibilities** In this role, you will analyse and reconcile finance datasets using SQL, investigate discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve data quality issues across systems. You will help define and document business rules, data mappings and acceptance criteria so that requirements are clear and testable. You will support testing and validation by checking data outcomes, recording findings and assisting with release activities. You will produce clear analysis and reporting for technical and non-technical audiences, explain data issues and their potential impact, and collaborate with finance, risk, data and technology colleagues. You will also contribute to consistent ways of working by maintaining accurate documentation and sharing relevant insights with programme stakeholders. **Benefits** This role provides the opportunity to contribute to a significant finance data programme while developing your experience in financial services analytics, data quality and cross-functional delivery. You will work with a range of specialist stakeholders and apply your SQL and investigative skills to practical business challenges.
