**Role:** SAP SD Functional Consultant **Location:** Mechelen, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days remote per week) **Start Date:** ASAP **Language:** Fluent & English essential Technology & Risk Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced SAP SD Specialist to join their SAP Centre of Excellence team, based at their European headquarters in Mechelen, Belgium. This is an excellent opportunity to join an international organisation operating across multiple business units and geographical regions, where you will play an important role in maintaining, developing and improving its SAP Sales & Distribution template. The position will involve a combination of SAP project delivery, functional configuration, business process improvements and ongoing application support. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, key users and external implementation partners, helping ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements while maintaining consistency across the wider organisation. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **SAP SD Projects & Implementations** * Act as the SAP SD template keeper across project rollouts, ensuring consistency and adherence to established standards. * Conduct fit-gap analysis with business stakeholders and identify areas requiring further development. * Translate business requirements into functional specifications for implementation partners. * Design, configure, review and test SAP SD solutions. * Support system integration testing and deliver training to key users. * Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and external SAP partners to ensure projects are delivered effectively. * Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the SAP SD template. **SAP Maintenance & Application Support** * Provide functional support across the SAP SD environment. * Investigate and resolve complex incidents, including L3 and P1 issues, working alongside external SAP partners where required. * Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues. * Review and approve relevant transport requests before production deployment. * Support regulatory changes, business developments and system improvements. * Maintain and optimise existing SAP SD functionality. **Business Processes & Continuous Improvement** * Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. * Work with business users to improve system utilisation and efficiency. * Maintain functional documentation, user guides and knowledge databases. * Support key users during testing and acceptance activities. * Ensure changes are documented in line with change management procedures. **Required Experience** * Minimum 3 years' hands-on SAP SD experience. * Strong functional knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution processes, including: Contracts and quotations, Sales orders, Pricing, Intercompany processes, Export processes, Consignment, Deliveries and billing. * Experience integrating SAP SD with other SAP modules, particularly FI/CO, MM and PP. * Experience across the SAP project lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuration, testing and documentation. * Previous involvement in SAP implementations, rollouts or template development. * Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions. * Comfortable working with business stakeholders, key users and external SAP implementation partners. * Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. **Interested?** If you have strong SAP SD experience and are interested in hearing more, please get in touch with Daniel at Technology & Risk Recruitment to discuss the opportunity.
