Experienced Engineering Manager / Technology Consulting Manager to lead technical delivery across AI engineering and modern software development engagements. The successful candidate will combine strong engineering knowledge with the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and commercially relevant way. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and manage engineering teams across AI, Full-Stack Java and Microsoft technology projects. * Take ownership of end-to-end technical delivery, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. * Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate these into technical solutions. * Facilitate client workshops, technical discovery sessions and solution design discussions. * Build trusted relationships with senior technology stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs and Heads of Engineering. * Provide technical direction and guidance to engineering teams, supporting technical decision-making and problem-solving. * Oversee the design, development and implementation of AI-enabled applications and software solutions. * Contribute to pre-sales activities, including technical scoping, solution proposals and client presentations. * Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices, delivery methodologies and technical capabilities. * Support the development of junior engineers and technical leads, building a strong and capable delivery team. * Work closely with senior leadership to support client growth and identify opportunities for further engagements. **Experience & Technical Requirements** * Strong background in software engineering, technology consulting or technical delivery management. * Experience in Full-Stack Java development or the Microsoft technology stack. * Practical experience with AI engineering, including the development and integration of AI-enabled applications. * Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, cloud platforms and application development. * Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex technical projects. * Experience working directly with external clients in a consultancy or professional services environment. * Ability to lead technical workshops and confidently engage with senior client stakeholders. * Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. * Experience contributing to pre-sales, solution design or technical scoping activities. **The Ideal Candidate** An experienced Engineering Manager or Technical Delivery Manager who has come from a strong hands-on engineering background. Someone who understands the technology in depth but can also step back, lead a team, manage client expectations and take ownership of delivery without requiring significant oversight.
