Ivy Rock Partners is working with a prestigious higher education institution in Central London to recruit an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer on an initial three-month contract. This is a great opportunity to join a busy finance team during a period of increased transactional and project-related activity. The organisation is looking for someone with solid accounts receivable experience who can hit the ground running, take ownership of their workload and provide valuable support to the wider team. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including sales ledger processing, invoicing and credit control. * Raise and process sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. * Monitor outstanding balances, review aged debt reports and proactively chase overdue payments. * Carry out ledger reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve payment queries. * Support cash allocation and payment processing where required. * Liaise with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve invoicing and account queries. * Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes. * Assist with additional transactional and project-related workload across the finance team. About You * At least three years' experience within accounts receivable, sales ledger or credit control. * Strong understanding of transactional finance processes and reconciliations. * Confident using Excel, including VLOOKUPs, and working with finance systems. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions. * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving queries. * Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and contribute from day one. * Previous cash-posting experience would be beneficial but is not essential. * Experience within higher education or the wider public sector is desirable; candidates from other sectors, are encouraged to apply. **Interviews are being arranged as soon as possible**, so early applications are encouraged.
