### About the Role Own customer deployments for an early-stage B2B SaaS company, from initial data access through a trusted system that delivers measurable business outcomes. This founding role combines data engineering, applied AI, and customer collaboration, while building reusable tools and practices to make future deployments more effective. ### What You'll Do * Work with customer revenue and operations leaders to understand business goals and identify valuable problems to solve. * Lead customer onboarding, scope data access, and map undocumented warehouse schemas to business concepts. * Interview customer data and business teams to establish consistent definitions and validate data mappings. * Build customer-facing signals and workflows, including custom agent configurations, and diagnose issues with their outputs. * Define success measures with customers and build analysis that demonstrates the impact of deployments. * Turn deployment learnings into reusable validation frameworks, evaluation harnesses, and mapping tools. ### What We're Looking For * At least 3 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role, such as forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or software engineering with substantial customer engagement. * An engineering or data science background, with applied statistics or modeling experience and a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable quantitative field. * Strong SQL and dbt skills, plus experience navigating undocumented data warehouses and resolving inconsistent business definitions. * Applied data science knowledge, including distributions, seasonality, validation design, and calibration. * Experience building custom agent setups beyond default implementations and defining metrics to demonstrate customer outcomes. * Experience at an early-stage startup, or a combination of large-company experience with startup or founder experience. Founder experience is valued. * A detail-oriented, evidence-driven approach and comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership. ### Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $180,000 to $250,000 annually.
