**Role Description** This part-time Engineering Manager role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and work from home. The Engineering Manager will oversee software engineering teams, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure delivery of high-quality edtech products. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and managing projects, coordinating integrations between systems, reviewing technical designs, and supporting software development activities. The role involves mentoring engineers, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring that engineering practices align with product goals and timelines. The Engineering Manager will also contribute to process improvement, risk management, and collaboration with product and operations teams. **Qualifications** * Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide and support cross-functional engineering teams. * Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills and experience in modern development practices, tools, and frameworks. * Candidates should possess effective Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver initiatives on time and within scope. * Candidates should possess Integration skills, including experience connecting platforms, APIs, and third-party services. * Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Dubai, with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. * Experience in edtech or building products for education, and familiarity with agile methodologies, is beneficial.
