**Product Development & Category Specialist — German Speaking** **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Employment type:** Full-time **Industry:** Printing, Advertising & Marketing Services **About the Role** FLYERALARM is looking for a German-speaking Product Development & Category Specialist to manage and grow an assigned product category. This role combines product development with day-to-day category operations, supplier coordination, sales support, and order fulfilment. You will maintain and expand the product range, identify opportunities to increase revenue, and help deliver a reliable customer experience from initial enquiry through to dispatch and after-sales support. **Key Responsibilities** **Product Development & Category Growth** * Maintain and improve the assigned product line, keeping the range competitive, relevant, and commercially attractive. * Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings, including in German-speaking markets. * Identify opportunities to introduce new products, enhance existing offerings, and generate additional category revenue. * Translate market insights and customer feedback into clear product briefs and requirements. * Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to develop, test, and launch products. * Monitor category sales, margins, and product performance, recommending improvements to support profitable growth. * Prepare and maintain accurate product information in German and English. **Sales Support & Customer Service** * Support the sales team with offline product enquiries, including specifications, availability, pricing, and lead times. * Provide product guidance to help colleagues recommend suitable solutions to customers. * Assist with customer complaints and product issues, coordinating timely resolutions with suppliers and internal teams. * Use customer feedback to improve product quality, service, and processes. **Supplier & Supply Chain Management** * Conduct supplier and supply chain due diligence, assessing quality, reliability, capacity, and compliance with company requirements. * Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate pricing, product specifications, production schedules, and delivery commitments. * Monitor supplier performance and address issues affecting quality, cost, or delivery. * Review supplier invoices and prepare and process payments for the assigned category in line with agreed terms and company approval procedures. **Order Processing & Fulfilment** * Process and manage online orders for the assigned category, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment. * Coordinate production, dispatch, shipping, and export arrangements with suppliers and logistics partners. * Ensure order and export documentation is accurate and complete. * Track orders through to delivery and proactively resolve delays or fulfilment issues. **Requirements** * Fluency in German and strong written and spoken English. * Experience in product development, category management, product management, or a related commercial role. * Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve margins. * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple products, orders, and deadlines. * Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Clear communication skills and confidence working with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. * A proactive, customer-focused approach and a willingness to take ownership of both product development and daily operations. **Desirable Experience** * Experience in printing, promotional products, advertising, or e-commerce. * Familiarity with supplier due diligence, international shipping, and export processes. * Experience with online order management, supplier invoicing, and payment coordination.
