This role is responsible for leading the electrical design of building and infrastructure projects, including developing detailed layouts, schematics, and specifications for power distribution and related systems. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project requirements, performing electrical load calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The engineer will prepare and review technical drawings and documentation, support tender and construction phases, and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers. Collaboration with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders is expected to ensure designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with MEP integration needs. **Qualifications** * Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of core principles and standards. * Ability to use industry-standard design and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAB, DIALux, Fill Sizer or similar tools). * Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering, including creating detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation. * Experience with Power Distribution systems design, load calculations, and coordination with other MEP disciplines. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. * Several years of experience in electrical design for building or infrastructure projects, preferably in the MEP sector. * Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and regulations relevant to Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety. * Effective communication and teamwork abilities, including mentoring less-experienced colleagues. * Previous experience in large-scale or high-profile projects is an advantage.
