**Trainee Quality Operative / Parts Inspector** **West Byfleet, Surrey | Full-time** Our client is looking for a detail-focused Trainee Quality Operative to join its Quality Department, inspecting high-precision machined components. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to build a career in engineering quality. Previous inspection experience isn’t essential, as training will be provided. **The role** * Carry out first-off, patrol and final inspections. * Assist with inspection reports, including AS9102 FAIRs. * Check quality documents and material certificates. * Deburr and polish high-value, precision components. * Support other tasks across the department as needed. **About you** You’ll have a keen eye for detail, a practical approach and a willingness to learn. An engineering qualification such as an ONC, NVQ or BTEC, an engineering apprenticeship, or the ability to read engineering drawings would be an advantage. Experience using measuring equipment is helpful but not essential. **Hours and benefits** Choose from either working pattern: * Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–1:00pm * Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am–12:30pm The standard working week is 39 hours, with overtime paid at 1.5x **Salary** Age 21+ £12.71/hour Age 18–20 £10.85/hour It is very much an entry level role with prospects to progress into a lead inspector role.
