**Head of Quality | Aerospace Manufacturing** **Confidential Executive Search | England, United Kingdom** Alias Executive Search & Consulting is supporting a confidential client in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sector in the appointment of a **Head of Quality**. We are looking for an experienced Quality leader who combines technical understanding with a practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing, and who can bring together people, processes and standards to deliver consistently high levels of performance. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than maintain a Quality Management System. We are looking for a professional capable of leading a Quality function, working closely with Engineering and Operations, and making a tangible contribution to the business. **The Opportunity** The successful candidate will take responsibility for the leadership and development of the Quality function within a technically demanding aerospace manufacturing environment. Key areas of responsibility will include: * **Quality Leadership:** Lead and develop the Quality team, establishing clear accountability, strong technical standards and an effective Quality culture. * **Operational Excellence:** Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure Quality is embedded throughout production, from process control to final product conformity. * **Quality Management Systems:** Maintain and strengthen compliance with AS9100/EN9100 and applicable customer and regulatory requirements. * **Audits & Accreditation:** Lead audit preparation, compliance activities, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. * **Product Quality & Certification:** Ensure effective inspection, traceability, documentation and product conformity processes. * **Technical & Process Quality:** Support the governance of complex manufacturing processes, working with technical teams to identify risks, resolve non-conformities and improve operational reliability. **Who We Are Looking For** We are particularly interested in professionals who have built their careers within aerospace manufacturing and understand the importance of maintaining uncompromising standards in a demanding production environment. **You will ideally bring:** * Proven leadership experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management or a comparable senior Quality position. * Strong knowledge of AS9100/EN9100 and aerospace regulatory and customer requirements. * A practical understanding of manufacturing processes, product inspection, conformity and technical compliance. * Experience managing audits, accreditation requirements, non-conformities and corrective-action programmes. * The ability to lead teams, engage with senior stakeholders and work effectively across Engineering and Manufacturing. * A structured, pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership. Practical experience with aerospace accreditation requirements, including Nadcap, would be highly valued. Above all, we are looking for someone who understands the balance between operational performance and technical compliance, and who can provide the leadership needed to maintain both. The position is based in **England, United Kingdom**, and requires regular on-site presence. The precise location will be shared confidentially with relevant candidates.
