**Legal Counsel – Digital Assets (m/f/d) | Berlin** **Location:** Berlin, Germany (Hybrid) **Industry:** Digital Assets | FinTech | Financial Services **Employment:** Full-time **About the Opportunity** At Ciklo Talent, we're partnering with a regulated financial services company operating at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. Our client provides institutional investors with access to digital asset trading and custody solutions. As the European regulatory landscape continues to evolve, the company is looking to strengthen its Legal team with a Legal Counsel. This is an opportunity to join a growing FinTech business where legal advice directly influences commercial decisions, product development and regulatory strategy. You'll work closely with experienced legal professionals, senior management and different business functions, gaining hands-on exposure to the legal and regulatory challenges shaping the digital asset industry. **Your Responsibilities** * Commercial Contracts: Draft, review and negotiate agreements with institutional clients, business partners and service providers. * Regulatory Affairs: Support regulatory matters involving BaFin, MiCAR, KWG, GwG and relevant licensing requirements. * Legal Advisory: Work alongside product and commercial teams to assess legal implications of new products, services and business initiatives. * Corporate Legal: Support corporate governance matters, including shareholder resolutions, regulatory filings and internal policies. * Compliance Collaboration: Partner with Compliance on AML, data protection and outsourcing-related matters. * External Counsel: Coordinate external legal advisors and support the management of legal costs. * Process Improvement: Develop legal templates, streamline internal processes and help build a scalable Legal function. **Your Profile** * Fully qualified German lawyer or a comparable qualification with a strong background in German law. * 1–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a FinTech, financial institution, payment provider or law firm specialising in financial regulation, banking or capital markets. * Understanding of German financial regulatory frameworks, including KWG, WpIG and GwG. * Interest in digital assets, blockchain technology and MiCAR.
