**WE ARE RECRUITING: FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONAL** **Join Us in Making a Difference in the Lives of Young People in Liberia and Across Africa** **The Vamba Sherif Foundation is looking for an experienced, results-driven and passionate Fundraising Professional to join our team.** Are you an accomplished fundraiser with a proven track record of mobilising financial resources, building relationships with donors, securing grants, and developing successful fundraising strategies? Do you have a deep passion for creating opportunities and bringing about meaningful change in the lives of young people, particularly in Liberia and across Africa? If so, we would love to hear from you. The Vamba Sherif Foundation is committed to empowering young people through education, literacy, creativity, intellectual development, and opportunities for personal and social transformation. We believe that investing in young people is investing in the future of our societies. Through our initiatives, including the **Liberia Essay Competition** and our literary and educational programmes, we seek to create platforms that enable young people to discover their potential, develop their talents, find their voices, and become agents of positive change in their communities. To advance this mission and expand our impact, we are looking for someone who can help us mobilise the resources needed to turn our vision into reality. **Who We Are Looking For** We welcome applications from individuals who: * Have a proven record of successful fundraising and resource mobilisation. * Have experience securing grants and financial support from foundations, philanthropic organisations, development agencies, corporations, and individual donors. * Can identify funding opportunities and develop compelling funding proposals. * Have the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and institutional partners. * Are proactive, resourceful, creative, and capable of working independently. * Have a genuine passion for empowerment, education, and social development. * Are deeply motivated by the desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people in Liberia in particular and Africa in general. Experience in fundraising for educational, charitable, development, or non-profit organisations will be an added advantage. **What We Offer** This is an opportunity to join a committed team with an ambitious vision and a genuine desire to contribute to positive social transformation. You will become part of an organisation working to create meaningful opportunities for young people, while helping build partnerships and mobilize resources that can translate our aspirations into tangible results. We welcome someone who sees fundraising not merely as a professional activity, but as an opportunity to contribute to a greater cause. **How to Apply** If you have the experience, commitment, and passion we are looking for, we invite you to send us your **CV and a brief statement outlining your fundraising experience and motivation for joining the Foundation**. Please send your application to: **Email:** info@vambasherifoundation.com Please use **"Fundraising Professional – Application"** as the subject of your email. Further details regarding the terms of engagement and working arrangements will be discussed with shortlisted applicants once applications have been received. **Come on board. Join us in making a difference. Help us create opportunities, inspire young minds, and change lives.** **THE VAMBA SHERIF FOUNDATION** _Investing in young people. Inspiring possibilities. Building a better future._ **Liberia Chapter:** Gardnersville, Monrovia, Liberia **Netherlands Chapter:** F D Rooseveltstraat 25, 9728 RV Groningen, The Netherlands **Ghana Chapter:** Buduburam Refugee Camp, Ghana **Email:** info@vambasherifoundation.com **Website:** www.vambasherifoundation.com **Telephone:** +31 6 12588135 **My recommendation** I would retain the phrase "Fundraising Professional" rather than simply "Fundraiser". It gives the opportunity a more professional and institutional character and is likely to attract people with experience in international development funding, institutional grants, corporate partnerships and philanthropy. I would also recommend publishing this advertisement on LinkedIn, development-sector recruitment networks, and among Liberian and African diaspora professional networks in Europe and elsewhere. These could be particularly valuable channels for reaching someone with the international fundraising experience the Foundation needs.
